Fine line here with the kid, on the one hand he seems non-bag at the moment, and maybe he will realize that the HCs will still come by if he is a normal dude,On the other hand he may come to realize that they are basically being paid to be there with him.
 

I've only been to Hooters three times in my life over a period of several years, and EVERY time there are at least 2 fully pregnant Hooters chicks (the Sabres and Bills like knockin' em up). This is probably one of the Hooters sluts' kids.

This pic is really uncool and should be removed. This is a little boy and he was forced to take this ridiculous and idiotic photo, probably by his hardcore douchebag dad. Implying that a little boy is a douche in training is a low blow, even for this kind of humor site. I'm all for making fun of DBs, but this entry crossed a line, I feel.

I love HCWDB but this entry isn't funny, and some of its comments betray an unfortunate tilt toward the typical wit-free, hate-mongering troll that signals when a cool site jumps the shark: when it gets lots of notice and begins attracting the kind of actual, loathsome douchebags it was making fun of in the first place.

The right thing to is to remove the entry. Picking on little kids is neither cool or funny.
 

I agree with Designated Adult. This is the first picture that actually made me wince for real when I saw it. I don't think anyone said anything too bad, but it really should be taken down. Little kids AREN'T appropriate here at all, in any manner. That was an excellent point, and I am NOT being sarcastic.

I'm with Designated Adult and Jailergrrl: lines are being crossed. DB1, how can you say "no one's making fun of him" after hate crime blasted him with an f-bomb? (I don't doubt that HC was joking, but if an otherwise solid poster can make that mistake, what are the bad people going to do?)

Now here's the legal perspective. I've stated in the past that you're walking a fine line regarding the rights of those whose pictures you "borrow," but are probably in the clear thanks to various practicality, damages, and jurisdictional issues. But, remember this: nothing uses up the good graces of judges and jurors like putting kids in harm's way, even in this indirect and seemingly benign fashion.

i actually thought the pic was funny (and, by extension, fair game like most other pics) at first glance. but then i read the comments and... well... although i didn't contribute to the negativities that arose from this pic, and i wouldn't have been the first person to have caused such things, i probably would've removed it if i was DB1.

Can't see what the big deal is, I've seen soccer moms with their kids at Hooters, it was probably meant to be just a "cute picture", the kid's probably too young to even think about titties at this point.

Sadly the hottest one is the one that is turned sideways.

Not sure what the problem is. Those making dumb ass comments are just showing themselves up. This kid doesn't deserve to be judged but I'm pretty sure the taking of this photo didn't scar him for life either.

wow. this picture has caused quite the fuss, eh? not since the raccoon lost several weeks ago has there been this much controversy on the site.

i can see both sides of the argument here. DB1's point makes sense as well as the comments of the poorly-named 'designated adult'. way to set yourself above everyone jocko. anyway, personally, i think the photo is pretty harmless. the look on the kids face is typical of ANY 6 year old put into a photo op like this. he has no real idea of what's going on. now, if i was a parent, i'd never take my kid to hooters. the place sucks for several reasons. but this parent obviously has no problem with it. i don't agree with that decision, but hell, it takes all kinds to fill up the freeway.

no one's getting hurt here. the girls decided to work at a place that exploits them, and the kid's parent is not very responsible. either way, this is DB1's website and we're just visiting. it's his call.

as for me, i'm not offended by the photo, but i wouldn't mind having it taken down. for nothing other than moving past this controversy and getting back to what this site was designed for: making fun of grown up douchebags.

yeah, not cool picking on the kid. at first i didn't even think about it — with the anonymity that the internet provides, though, i suppose it's inevitable for some asshole to make a comment in poor taste thinking himself amusing. i sure as hell wouldn't want MY kid's picture to be on this site, and i don't even have a kid.

since it doesn't really affect me in any way (yes, i am incredibly selfish) it is of course up to the DB1. considering he might be publishing a book...in that narrow prism of selfishness alone, i think it might behoove him to take it down, casting aside any moral considerations.
